The Festival

‘Cobblestone’ is a theatre festival that celebrates heritage and culture. It is named after the stone mason legacy left by a family of artisans who built homes and churches at the junction of the Grand and Nith rivers. Each summer (in August) a group of dedicated volunteers, theatre devotees, and students invite people to Paris for a casual, unique and interactive theatre festival.

This spring Brant Theatre Workshops was informed that the Cobblestone Festival would not happen. We had been part of the Cobblestone and knew first-hand the benefit to the theatre community and experienced the enthusiastic response of audiences in Paris. BTW agreed to take on the responsibility for staging the festival.

This home-grown, locally produced festival features the creativity of many local artists, performers, musicians and playwrights. Again this summer, strolling the bank of the Grand River and coming to the Cobblestone productions are a tradition for many during an August summer evening.

Season 2011 ‘Reborn’

This year eight productions are scheduled to take place throughout Paris from August 10 to 21 at a reasonable cost of $10 per ticket.
